Riser pipes are components used in water filtration systems to connect the top and bottom distributors to a filter valve within a pressure filter media vessel. This allows the treated water to flow in either direction, depending on the service mode, ensuring efficient filtration and flow.
Top and bottom strainers or distributors are designed for use in media water filtration applications, typically in conjunction with water softener or filter valves. 
 
The bottom strainers are designed to accommodate different size riser pipes, which can be solvent welded or threaded and screwed into the distributors. These strainers serve as a mesh, allowing particles smaller than the water filter medium to pass through, ensuring effective filtration.
